Bait Fishing for Trout - Get the Facts
Bait fishing for trout is a thrilling and a very relaxing activity you can do when outdoors. You just take out your fishing rod, attach the bait then toss it into the pond or the lake. Afterwards you just wait for a fish to get hooked to your bait. Sounds easy right? But the complexity of bait fishing doesn't end just there.
The preparation takes a lot of scrutiny especially in choosing what bait to use. All baits may look the same to the eyes of those who doesn't take fishing as a sport. But in depth, baits of different sizes, shapes, color and form has its own "specialty", where in a certain type of bait attracts a certain type of trout. There's also this thing that we call live bait, in which species that are used as bait are living creatures - like a worm or a minnow and other live bait.
There are some things that you need to consider when bait fishing for trout. It will depend on your preference on how you could effectively catch a trout and what type you could come across, since bait is a matter of preference. Baits are divided into two types: the natural and the unnatural bait. Natural baits are the one's that are already traditionally used like worms, minnows and other live bait.
While unnatural baits are objects instead from living creatures, it can be a synthetic bait or simply cheese or marshmallows. The type of trout bait that you will use will greatly affect which trout you can expect to hook. A great catch will still boil down to how you make use of these two essential tools listed below:
Proper Use of Your Fishing Line:
Given the fact that you have the best fishing rod and bait there is, bait fishing for trout would be a tough job for you if you can't even manipulate a fishing rod well. You don't have to be a genius to figure out what type of fishing line that you need. Go for the light ones but make sure the one's that you get is durable. Lighter lines will give you the freedom to maneuver the bait easily.
Gang Hooks:
Make your bait look and move as natural as possible. Gang hooks are basically small hooks that come in pairs and are tied in tandems on worms. It will present your bait in a realistic manner, making it more natural to the eyes of the trout. The more natural looking your fishing bait appears, the more enticing the bait will look to the trout.

What is the most attractive bait that fish love and near impossible to unhook?
Bonito is great but comes off the hook easily even when salted. Any suggestions. I dont fish much so...yeah i dont know much
For me it's cut up shad (for catfishing), they give off some kind of oil that attracts fish. But when i rarely fish for bass, for my money you cant beat a live minnow on a bobber.
But all in all if you wanna just catch a bunch of fish and you don't care what kind of fish they are, there's still nothing better than a worm on a hook.
