Car Won't Go Faster Than 120km/h?
I drive a VW New Beetle '03 Automatic. Recently my engine light has been flicking on one day/off the next...seems to always be off when I get to the repair shop. Today I took my car for a little highway spin and noticed that once I hit 120 the car "froze" wouldn't go any faster than 120, the RPM thing was solidly not moving from 3000 - no matter how hard I pushed down the gas pedal. It seems like the car was pulling/dying/seemed to lose the zip. Sorry if this is a bad explanation 1. I am a woman 2. I know nothing about cars...lol.
Can anyone provide suggestions? My normal mechanic is in Mexico on holidays.
The car has recently (December) had its Winter service/alignment.
I live in Winnipeg Canada, we had a really cold snap but now the weather isn't that bad. The car has not been plugged in - somehow the block heater got ripped off the car last winter (I'm sure it wasn't my fault...lol).
The car is not a diesel.
What is a limiter?
