How do i dye my hair blue black if its already a dark black?
I tried this already but we just added blue into my hair... which just got covered over by my natural black hair... i really want to try it but i dont know how should i do it? bleach all my hair then apply it or just try to add it onto my black hair?
There are two ways to add the blue tint your looking for.
A permanent blue-black dye (which will work over black hair). However, this method is slightly damaging, and means your hair will be dyed black - hard to change colour. The blue tint will also probably fade after a couple of weeks.
Or a semi-permanent blue applied over dark hair can give the sheen your looking for. First wash hair with a clarifying shampoo and DONT condition. Dry with a hot hair dryer, and apply the blue dye (i'd recommend special effects blue velvet, or punky colour atlantic blue or blue-black, manic panic isn't as good but if you can easily get it try that) to dry hair (your hair will probably feel horrible after the shampoo and hot drying). Leave the dye on a few hours, and wash it out with cold water, and use a deep conditioner to seal in the colour. Your hair should feel fine after that
