IS this a good braid line to use?
Ok, so i just bought Spiderwire invisible camo braid 20 lb test line. Is that an appropriate line to use on a 30$ medium action Quantum spinning rod? im going to be using it to cast a frog into thick lily pads, or to be twitchin a worm through shallow water
I also have a team diawa htsla baitcaster reel, i have that setup with a different type of 20 pound braid, the only reason im not using that in the thick stuff is cus im not very accurate with it yet
It will work, but most good bass fisherman will recommend you 40 pound or heavy for fishing frogs in thick pads, but I think you can get by with 20. Reading your question though I suggest you use a different rod for frog fishing. You need a heavy action rod or at the very least a medium heavy for fishing thick vegetation. You will be in trouble if a big fish takes your frog and you let him get deep in the thick crap. It will be very hard to pull him out. I would also suggest using a baitcaster, but that's not a necessity.
But back to the original question: the line will be fine.
