Fly rod Help?
I am looking at buying a St. Croix Rod, either a four or five weight that is 8 1/2 ft long., The models i am looking at are the Reign, the Avid, or the Legend Ultra. If you have used any of these rods and have anything to say about them it would be great to hear your thoughts and opinions on balance, sensitivity, value, and what kind of warranty/customers service does the company have. St. Croix makes very good quality fly rods. Their warranty and customer service are excellent. I am not familiar with the specific models in question, but my advice would be to purchase the best quality model that you can afford. You'll never regret spending the money for better equipment, especially after a long day on the water.
