What pound test line would you recommend for my set up?
I have just purchased a Masterline Rovex John Wilson Avon Quiver Deluxe, 11-13ft. I am using this rod with a Daiwa Exceler, Size: 3500 Reel, I do not fish for a specific species any fish will do, Carp, Tench, Roach, Perch, Barbel, Chubb. I tend to mostly float fish with the occasional trotting.
What would you recomend as a good pound test fillament to use? I do like a light tackle as I find this makes for a better fidght but how light shold I go? would 6lbs be too light for this set up many of my freinds fish 10lbs line but i worry that this would be too much? HELP!
I have been fishing for 40 years .I find 6lbs to be the best for feeling those little tiny nibbles, walleyes are famous for the sensitive way they can take a bait just to give it a little taste so they can decide if they like what they are getting, that`s when to set the hook.Good luck fishing.Nice rod and real by the way.
