what kind of fish for a two gallon tank?
I won a two gallon tank at a basket raffle. It is filtered and has a light. I know two gallons is extremely small for most fish. I want the fish to be comfortable so what kind of fish could i get?Also, how many african dwarf frogs would i be able to keep in it?
You can keep one betta in there. I have a betta in a one gallon, with a tiny bit of gravel and a TINY, tiny, tiny plant. I do a 90% water change every single week. My betta blows bubble nests all the time and seems happy and content. By the way, since you seem to be new to fish owning, people on here are talking about "cycling" your tank. This is helpful. Basically, get water conditioner (I use novaqua and amquel....the directions are right on the back and it's all you need) and fillt he tank and add the conditioners. Then, turn on your filter and wait two weeks before getting your one betta fish. Bring your betta home and hang the plastic cup or bag in your tank for 15-20 minutes. Cut the top of the bag and put about 1/2 cup of your fishtank water into the bag. Let it sit about 10 minutes. Then, get the fish out of the bag. Try not to pour much ofthe plastic-bag-water into the tank. That will help your fish get settled. I highly recommend a betta for a first time fish owner. WHatever you do, do NOT get a goldfish no matter what the petstore or anyone tells you--they need 29 gallons EACH as they get very big. Also, I want to congratulate you on researching BEFORE you buy your fish. Kudos!
